I know it can take a lot of courage to reach out for help. I'm glad you found your way here. You may feel embarrassed about your struggles. You and the people closest to you may be the only ones who know. You may be completely alone with your challenges, finding it hard to even say things out loud. Or you may just need encouragement and a place to get good information. You've probably wondered if anyone can help you. I believe I can.
I view my role in counseling as a facilitator to help clients figure out and explore what they need to do to reach their therapy goals. My clients take ownership in their treatment by actively engaging in conversation and behavior changes that get them the results they want. I don't see counseling modalities as a one-size-fits-all process. Each client brings personal experiences, cultural perspectives and specific needs to therapy. As a result, I use a variety of well-researched techniques and approaches to provide individualized therapy.
